Paul Dorin has been involved with Jeans 4 Genes Day
for the past 13 years. Every year Paul steps up to the challenge of painting National and International celebrities jeans,
which are auctioned off to raise much needed money for the Childrens Medical Research Insitute. Over this time he has had the privilege of painting a variety of celebrity’s jeans from actors
Kevin Klein, Frances McDormand, James Bullusi, David Hassellhoff
and Robin Williams, Entertainers Donny and Marie Osmond to sportsmen such as Jeff
Fenech, NRL Brad Fittler (The very first pair of jean's l was given to paint) and Steve
Monagetti.
One of his all time favourite's to paint was the jeans of Rolf
Harris. I was so excited knowning l was painting Rolf's Jeans. "Besides my brother, Rolf was the very first
person l ever remember watching paint. Being a motorsport fan Craig Lowndes (2008) was another
favourite pair of jeans to paint. In 2009 Paul painted the jeans of Moto GP Champ Chris Vermeulen, "I
had so much fun painting Chris' jeans. Chris was a really friendly person".

Paul's painted Jeans got $9000 at the Big Gold Gala Auction
for the Children's Medical Research Institute in Sydney. The 4th equal highest paid on the night. It is the second highest amount Paul has received for his painted jeans.
It was a great night for Jeans 4 Genes.
Paul's painting of Rolf Harris's Jeans in 2006 raised $10,000 and has been one
of the highlights of his involvment with Jeans 4 Genes.
